The Top Five Worst Video Game Based Movies

Obliviously I love video games as far as the next gamer enjoys video games. But we don’t adore the movie maker’s that ruin our favourite titles in their quest to bring the game to the big screen.

So a list of the top five worst game-based films has been created. Please note that there is no specific order for the list of game-based movies.

Super Mario Brothers

Super Mario Brother is the perfect illustration of what not to do if making a picture out of a video game. For instance if a character is suppose to be Italian with a mustache don’t hire a Latino actor that’s clean shaven like John Leguizamo was. Or a reptile like rb88 or Toad like do not create the characters individual. This picture plot was so loosely depending on the match it was a pity to call it Super Mario Brothers. The movie’s biggest issues is it was the very first of it kind, meaning that the first significant motion picture to be based from a video game.

Doom is considered to be among the great 1st person shooter computer video games ever, making an remarkable cult following. However the film itself was dull and sad to watch.

The plot of this game is straightforward:”A portal to Hell has opened on Mars and you, a space marine, need to kill everything that came out of it.” But in the movie you wind up killing stunt not demons out of hell so that it looses what makes Doom, Doom.

The movie maker’s forgot what made the sport so great and produced another broadly base title of the game itself.

Street Fighter

I didn’t think is would be possible to mess up a game where you do is fight and fight and fight, but filmmakers was able to it with Street Fighter.

The movie for something did not have a whole lot of bare-knuckle combating and replaced it with a lot of heavy gun drama. It had virtually no storyline to speak of and the two chief actors, Raul Julila a respected theater trained performer and Jean-Claude Van Damme an action celebrity should never been around the exact same state with one another.

The saddest aspect of this movie was that it was Raul Julia’s final motion picture. Not a good way to go as an actor.

House of the Dead
It was suppose to be a horror movie but it in reality had very few scary moments. The acting makes it more of a comedy then a horror movie. Little has anything to do with the actual game but also the title, zombies and a few in-game footage.

Resident Evil

Apocalypse to a extent follow the main plot of the Resident Evil series specifically:”flesh-eating zombies are in control of the city and you have to make your way out of it alive”. However it misses why people love the Resident Evil computer video games, its not scary, entertaining and the plot is weak and there’s virtually no character development. The bad thing here is that Resident Evil Apocalypse is a sequel to a real warrior first film.
